I shopped for a food processor for my daughter in the U.A.E. and I was disappointed in the quality of materials until I saw the Panasonic and the Braun models. The quality of materials is superb, and all of the pieces lock together firmly. The blades of the other lesser brands were stamped metal, while the Panasonic blade is thick, firm, and ground. All of the plastic pieces are thick, including the blade post. The only thing that I was leery of was the single speed. The Braun model had many speed settings along with more wattage. These being the only two processors of quality, I went with price. The Panasonic was less expensive by about $40 USD. I got it back to my daughter's, unpacked it, set it up and proceeded to make hummus. I was amazed how quiet and effortlessly it cut through the mix. It stands on four sturdy rubber feet, the likes of which I have not seen on any USA processors, which helped dampen the noise and kept it in place. I did not have the opportunity to use the attachments for vegetable slicing, juicing, or whipping, but the equipment for these tasks is good and sturdy. Truly an excellent choice.
