Product Description

Purus mats are the newest, most advanced cleanroom mat to be introduced to the market. The superior quality of Purus cleanroom mats is the result of over 15 years of experience and expertise in the development and manufacturing of cleanroom mats combined with the latest technology and equipment in the industry. The multi-layered mat removes dirt and dust from foot traffic and equipment wheels prior to their entry into a clean or controlled environment. Each numbered layer is fully coated with a particle grabbing adhesive. Once the top layer is saturated, a quick and easy removal of that layer exposes the next layer and returns the mat to maximum efficiency. Low density polyethylene film. 1.8 Mil / 50 Micron film thickness/layer. Acrylic adhesive. 0.3 Mil / 8 Micron adhesive thickness. 6.5 oz/180g/25mm+20 (individual layers) and 24oz/680g/25mm+50 (bottom layer) Peel adhesion. >1.2kg/cm Tensile strength, 158 degree F/70 degree C-48 hours heat resistance.

The IntroMats by Purus are not quite as tacky as clean room mats we been using which is okay since a super tacky mat may surprise some (trip hazard). Opted for the blue color so it is different than white clean room rated ones.

Will need the white frame that is sold with the 30 pad mat option if floor surface is not smooth. Changing to a new pad fairly easy. The white frame is an 1/8" polystrene sheet which may be a trip point - routered a 22% chamfer to frame edges to remove this edge. The non-slip material at bottom of frame holds mat on floor in place fairly well. Shoes have different surfaces and some more aggressively stick to tacky sheet and can cause lifting of frame edge. Double sided tape applied at corners to prevent the mat lifting.
