This GROHE product is sturdy (quite heavy). But make sure that your shower head is atleast 8-9 feet above the floor. Otherwise when the shower arm extends out far it will be right above your head with no room to shampoo. We had to get an right-angle extension to first raise our shower head to 9 feet and then attach this shower arm.
